I posted it on Facebook, but I don't care. This quote is from
the book Wuthering Heights, by Emily Bronte. The elder Catherine is telling her
nurse about Edgar just proposing to her and how she really feels:"It would degrade me to marry Heathcliff now; so he shall never know
how I love him;
and that, not because he's handsome, Nelly,
but because he's more myself than I am.
Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same,
and [Edgar's] is
as different as a moonbeam from lightning, or frost from fire."
*sighs* lovely is it not? Their relationship is
very different then most loves in stories and for that they are known and
loved.
